About Mustard Seed Sponsorship
LCMI has been burdened by the economic situation some of our campers come from. In response to repeated challenges by a faithful partner to develop an on-going sponsorship program, Mustard Seed was born.
Jesus compares the Kingdom of God to a "Mustard Seed" (Luke 13:18-19), which when planted in the ground grows into a tree.
A mustard seed is the smallest seed mentioned in the Bible and Jesus is not hesitant to compare His Kingdom with the tiny seed. We see the vision of Jesus Christ "a small mustard seed grew into a tree where birds of the air perched in its branches."
Mustard Seed is a LCMI sponsorship program which will provide on-going monthly sponsored support for specific children LCMI has determined to be in economically desperate situations. Over the years of ministry in India, LCMI has been burdened by the economic situation some of our campers come from. In response to repeated challenges by a faithful partner to develop an on-going sponsorship program, Mustard Seed was born.
Similar to the mustard seed, this small program can have a large impact on the lives of children AND their families. The small sacrificial "mustard seed" contributions of $30 or more you make in faith in a child's life will help to build that child into a "mustard tree". In due time, these children will be able to support others in the later stages of their lives. The only criteria we have to be included in our Mustard Seed sponsorship program is that; the child must be a camper at LCMI camps and whose family comes from an economically desperate situation. Your sponsorship will provide for tuition costs so that the child can attend a school and have much needed food for their family.
