In Chronicles 34:1-8 we find an incredible account of a
young Israel King called Josiah. In these eight verses we
notice three things:
- First, at the age of 8 he became King but more
importantly “…while he was still young, he began to seek
the God of his father David”.
- Second, while he was still young and “…in his
twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem of the
high places, Asherah poles, carved idols and cast images.
Under his direction the altars of the Baals were torn
down; he cut to pieces the incense altars that were above
them, and smashed the Asherah poles, the idols and the
images…”
- Third, we see Josiah’s drive and commitment to
God and “in the 18th year of Josiah’s reign, to purify the
land and the temple, he sent … to repair the temple of the
Lord his God”.
It is our prayer that God would allow us to “Raise Josiahs”
in and through our camps who will seek the living God with all
their heart, mind, soul and strength and thus change the face
of India. All for His Glory!
The Need & Vision for Raising Josiahs
Today in India, there are 480 million children and teens
who are 18 years and under, which is about 40% of the total
population. We are pleading to the Lord to give us these
precious souls so that as the Lord enables us, we want to
introduce Jesus Christ to them. These young Indians will be
tomorrow’s leaders and my prayer is that God will use LCMI “to
open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from
power of Satan to God,… ” (Acts 26:18) and thus Raise Josiahs
who will not only lead the Church in India but Globally.
Why do we need a Camp Deccan property?
- More camps – to reach more children.
- Train the children and counselors who want to become
missionaries and camp counselors.

teams to be sent out and conduct more
Mobile camps.
- Design new and creative camp programs to reach
children from various backgrounds for the Lord Jesus
Christ.
- Develop a Special Needs camping HUB

Increase special needs camps yearly.
• Group
Homes to share the love of Christ.
• Train
children in life development skills.
• Develop
the camp into a center to reach special needs children in
India.
- Develop Camp Deccan as a HUB for our ministry in
India:
• Administrative offices to oversee care
for all camping
ministries.
• Train counselors & mobilizers country wide.
•
Be a resource for the church in India.
